Happy start to summer! Here at Agrilab Technologies Inc. (AGT) we wanted to share some updates. We're pleased to see how our clients are making better compost more efficiently and using renewable thermal energy for heating water and buildings, and drying bulk products.
Release of third-party study by Newtrient and University of Vermont Our compost aeration and heat recovery (CAHR) system installed at VT Natural Ag Products/Foster Brothers Farms in Middlebury, VT was the subject of a USDA Conservation Innovation funded study. The production, space, labor and energy efficiency benefits of our system were documented when compared to turned windrow composting alone. The Foster's operation uses a turned aerated windrow approach and two AGT Compost Hot Box 250-4R units. The study summary and AGT business profile can be viewed at: https://www.newtrient.com/wp-content/uploads/Agrilab-CAHR_Evaluation-Summary_April-2024_Final-4.10.24.pdf and https://www.newtrient.com/wp-content/uploads/Agrilab-CAHR_Snapshot_April-2024_Final-4.10.24.pdf
Project with Windham Solid Waste Management District underway We are thrilled to be moving into the build phase for improvements to the composting facility in Brattleboro, VT. AGT is providing and installing the aeration equipment including a Hot Box 250-4R, HDPE aeration pipes, and a biofilter. Aeration and other system upgrades will increase the permitted capacity of the existing WSWMD composting facility in Brattleboro that uses turned windrow practices. Phase I completion and commissioned operations are anticipated fall 2024. WSWMD serves 18 member towns in southeastern Vermont. More at https://windhamsolidwaste.org/
We're heading to the North American Manure Expo July 17-18 The North American Manure Expo is at the Patterson Farm in Auburn, NY this year and Agrilab Technologies will be exhibiting! More information found at https://www.manureexpo.ca/. This presence follows our attendance earlier this year at the USCC COMPOST 2024 national conference in FL as a presenter, the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont winter conference as a presenter, the CT Composting Conference as an exhibitor, the New York State Organics Summit in Buffalo, the Whitten Family Farm composting open house and the Vermont Organics Summit as an exhibitor and panelist. More dairy and livestock farms, and anaerobic digesters have great potential to utilize our systems for producing compost and generating heat for shops, greenhouses, water as well as material drying systems and more. Make an appointment to see us at the North American Manure Expo using the button below.
