The Agrilab Technologies team completed equipment fabrication and supported installation of a new aerated composting system at Lands Sake Farm in Weston, MA.
Lands Sake Farm is a diversified vegetable and poultry farm in Weston, MA serving over 300 members in its community supported agriculture (CSA) program. The installation of a new aerated composting system is intended to produce compost for their use in soil improvement and fertility. Local leaves, horse manure and farm biomass will be the inputs for a batch process, managing 120 cubic yards in four aeration zones. The AGT Mini-System is designed for this type of smaller composting facility and provides:
Negative aeration with automated cycling of 4 compost zones
Real-time and logged data for temperature, oxygen, flow and pressure
On-site and remote access to monitoring and controls
Also great for pilot projects and testing new recipes at larger sites
If a Mini System sounds like the right scale for your operation we are still taking orders for late summer delivery.
